What is a zine?
A zine generally refers to a collection of works (art, writing, merchandise, etc) usually based along a central theme. A fanzine, in particular, is unofficial, and often features more than one contributor, though they can be created as a solo project.
So what is Shoot Your Shot?
Shoot Your Shot is a Kuroko no Basuke fanzine, based around the concept of an otome game. The zine will feature the 5 members of the Miracle Generation along with Kuroko and Kagami as the “main love interests”, and will include content focused around these 7 characters.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
As decided by the interest check, the zine will be both physical and digital!
Physical + Digital merch is also planned.
Is this zine SFW?
Yes! The zine will be completely SFW.
Is this zine for profit?
As decided by the interest check, yes! This zine is for profit.
This means that any additional revenue made (after paying for zine bundles) will be split among contributors and mods.
If you are a minor, and a contributor for this zine, you will only be able to receive monetary compensation via a parent/guardian's PayPal.
All contributors will also have the option to forfeit their share of monetary compensation, which will then be split among the other contributors/mods.

What will contributors be expected to produce for the zine?

Will this include ships between
KnB characters?
As this zine is an otome themed, there will be no ships between the KnB characters themselves. Instead, any relationships will be focused between the MC and one of the 7 KnB boys.
Who can apply to this zine?
We will be accepting page artists, comic artists, merch artists, and writers for this zine!
All applicants for the main zine must be at least 16 years old by the date of their application.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes! Feel free to apply to as many positions as you wish.
However, depending on the number of applicants vs the number of available spots, please keep in mind that you may not be accepted for more than one position in the zine.
*We will not be accepting a single contributor as both an artist and a writer for this zine. However, the same contributor may be accepted as either page/merch or comic/merch artist.

Contributor Applications
General Guidelines:
All applicants (whether artist or writer) must be a minimum of 16 years old by their application date, due to the more mature theme of this zineAny applicants who turn 16 during the creation process are unfortunately not able to apply for the zineApplicants are allowed to apply for more than one position, but will only be accepted for a maximum of 2 rolesA single contributor will not be accepted as both a writer and artist for the zineA single artist may be accepted as either page/merch, or comic/merch, but not all three roles.Please only submit SFW samplesAny NSFW samples submitted will result in immediate disqualificationAll submitted samples must be original work.Any plagiarized samples present in an application will result in immediate disqualification.Please make sure that “link sharing” is turned ON if you are submitting Google Drive files!This can be checked by opening the link in a private/incognito page!The Shoot Your Shot Mod Team will not be contacting applicants with unavailable files

3 completed samples of artwork2 pieces must have a background (gradients, solid colors, and designs will not be accepted)Highly recommended for at least one background to be scenic1 piece must either be focused on a single character or be a POV piece (Example of a POV piece done by Mod Topu)Traditional samples should be scanned in high resolution (min 300 dpi)A portfolio is highly recommended, but not requiredPortfolios will be used to help break ties between contributor appsKnB artwork is encouraged, but not requiredWe’d love to see how you depict the characters in your style!
